FINANCIAL PAGES

The Financial pages are found in the News Menu under Finances.

There's more to football than just winning games. The financial pages allow you to track all aspects of your expenses, income, spending cash, and profits. Unlike the Standings and Leaders screens, teams are simply shown in alphabetical order. Your team is displayed in all capitals highlighted in green.

Values shown in red indicate a negative value, such as for 'Profit' and 'Salary Cap Room'.

You can change between conferences using the gray button on the lower right hand corner of the screen. Click on it, and the other league will be displayed. The text on the button indicates the conference currently being displayed.

By clicking on the buttons at the top of each column, you can toggle between each of these settings:

Total Payroll The total payroll expense for each team. This value includes the pro-rated effect of a team's signing bonuses. It is used to determine if a team is exceeding the salary cap.
Salary Cap Room Difference, in millions of dollars, between the team's Total Payroll and the league salary cap. If the team is over the league salary cap, this value is negative, and is shown in red.
Average Age The average age of a team's players. Age is calculated using a player's age on opening day.
Average Contract The average number of remaining years on player contracts held by the team.
Loyalty This number represents your fan loyalty in relation to other teams. It is most heavily affected by your teams performance over the most recent seasons.

Franchise The dollar value of the franchise. More expensive franchises have to pay ownership a greater chunk of revenue as dividends. (You can see Dividends in 'Expenses').
Cash Your cash on hand (useful for buying out contracts and sweetening trades).
Liquidity Your total cash divided by your Franchise Value. This is useful because it shows the amount of liquid assets you have (not just disposable cash). Franchise value, however, does not include the team's cash on hand.
Attendance This shows your team's average home attendance in relation to other teams.
Ticket Price Your current average ticket price in relation to other teams. You can change this for your team in the Tickets dialog under the Budget menu.
Revenue The total revenue for each team.
Expenses The total expenses for each team.

Total Broadcast Revenue The team's total broadcast revenue for the year to date. This includes the team's share of national broadcast revenue, plus a small amount of revenue from local radio contracts.

Note on Finances: If you ever drop into debt (a negative amount of cash, shown in red) you will be unable to renew any contracts, or make trades that increase your payroll. So keep an eye on this number!

Revenue Sources

The money you have to spend in Football Mogul includes revenue from the following sources:

Ticket Sales

Each team keeps 66% of the gate revenue from all home games, and 34% of the gate revenue from away games. This formula applies to the regular season and playoffs. Ticket prices are automatically doubled for playoff games. Thus, you do not need to edit your ticket prices in order to garner more revenue from playoff games.

Other Stadium Revenue

Each home team keeps 100% of the profit from sales of food, beverages and souvenirs in their home stadium.
