SPECIAL TEAMS DIALOG
The Special Teams Dialog
lets you view and rearrange your starting kicker, punter, kick returner
and punt returner.
INTERFACE
Use the Move Up and Move
Down buttons to position highlighted players as your starting kicker
(next to the 'K') and starting punter (next to the 'P').
The Release button is
used to eliminate players from your team that you don't need. Because
Football Mogul contracts are not guaranteed, there is no cash cost
to releasing a player. If, however, you paid a signing bonus in
hiring a player, that money has already been spent and cannot be
recouped.
The Auto-Sort Button
asks the computer's artificially intelligent coach to pick your
key special teams players for you.
The rest of your special
teams players, such as your kickoff and field goal teams, are picked
by the computer from your best bench players at game time.
POSITION DESIGNATIONS
Because formations pick a number of players from each position, a player's listed position is actually more important than how the players are organized on the Special Teams Dialog.
For example, if you want a Kicker to play as your Punter, you cannot simply put the player in the spot labeled "P" in the Special Teams Dialog like this:

In the above example, you would need to change Phil Dawson's position to "Punter" if you would like Football Mogul to use him as the Punter your special teams formations. To change a player's position, click his position in his Scouting Report.
Click
here for more information on the various formations used in
Football Mogul, and how the computer selects which one to use.
At
the end of the season, the names of players whose contracts
are about to expire are shown in parentheses. This is to help
you pick out the players whose contracts you wish to renegotiate,
and those who you wish to release to the free agent pool. |
