IMPORT DIALOG

This dialog box lets the user import stats from a comma-delimited text file. The stats listed in the text file will be written over the specified stats for the players mentioned (exception: if 'Career' stats are imported, the program will add each stat to the existing career total -- this lets you sum multiple years of a player's career).

The stats file must contain one player per line, and the player's full name must be the first field. The contents of the remaining fields are specified using the dropdown boxes (this feature only allows 8 columns of data).

For example, to import a data file called CONTRACTS.CSV that looks like the following...

Player, Age, Salary, Contract Length, All Star Games
Clay Dreslough, 30, 30000, 3, 1,
John McLoughlin, 22, 30000, 1, 0,
Chris Carr, 36, 30000, 1, 0,

... you would place the file in Baseball Mogul's 'Input' directory, and then set up the Import Stats Dialog as shown:

Then, hit the 'Import' button and the stats will be loaded into your current database.

(The program will ignore any lines, such as file headers, that do not begin with the name of a player in the active database).
