RELIEF PITCHER

To replace your pitcher, click on the relief pitcher and click the 'Swap' button. Baseball Mogul does not require that you "warm up" relief pitchers; they will already be ready to pitch when you put them on the mound.

If you change your mind, click the 'Undo' button before leaving the dialog box. Once you leave, you cannot undo an in-game substitution.

Note: If the batting team is computer-controlled, you will not be able to pinch-hit or pinch-run.
To change whether a team is human-controlled, use the League Editor.

Double Switch

The double switch is used to insert a relief pitcher, while simultaneously placing the new pitcher into more favorable spot in the batting order. By using the double switch, an incoming pitcher can be left in the game for a substantial period before his turn to bat arrives.

To perform a double switch:

1) Select a relief pitcher from the bullpen
2) Click 'Replace Pitcher'
3) Click the 'Double Switch' button
4) Select the bench player you would like to bring into the game
5) Select the defensive player you would like to replace
6) Click the 'Swap' button

Baseball Mogul will automatically put the defensive substitution into the pitcher's slot in the batting order if doing so would postpone the pitcher's turn at bat.

7) Click 'Done'

Baseball Mogul does not support the double switch in games played with the designated hitter. Use the League Editor to control which leagues employ the designated hitter rule.
